Handiwork Here and There

I hadn’t watched a sunset in awhile and tonight this one stole my breath away. My soul affirmed that,

“The heavens are telling of the glory of God;
And their expanse is declaring the work of His hands.”

Psalm 19:1

The sunset drama continued with royal layers of gold, orange, pink, gray, blue and white. Just as God’s handiwork is displayed in the heavens, so is His handiwork displayed through me and my life. I am also His workmanship (Ephesians 2:10).

Two things connected for me:

  1. The skies declare His unmatched GLORY.
  2. I am created to ascribe to the Lord the GLORY due His name, to worship Him in holy array (Psalm 29:2).

My problems that felt so big now seemed so small in the overarching plan of His goodness and sovereignty.

May I tell of His glory and declare the works on His hands as beautifully as this sunset.
